EduCorps represents the community of individuals interested in growing the future through teaching. Its purposes are to significantly increase the number and diversity of students entering CSU’s teacher preparation programs, especially in high-need areas such as math, science, special education, and bilingual education, and to provide ongoing, high-quality support to members on their path to earning their teaching credentials.

On May 11th in the afternoon, the Assembly Higher Education Committee hosted an oversight hearing at the State Capitol on “Preparing Teachers for the K-12 Ethnic Studies Requirement”.

Dr. Ernest Black, Systemwide Director for CalStateTEACH represented the California State University with a presentation on the CSU's plans to meet the workforce demand of teachers prepared to teach ethnic studies and highlighting the programs that most of our campuses are already doing.
